We need someone in Vietnam who will walk into cafes, restaurants, and hotels — and walk out with a partnership. You'll be the reason tourists can pay by QR instead of card.
About LocalPay
LocalPay lets foreign tourists pay Vietnamese QR codes. We use the national VietQR infrastructure — the same system every local business already accepts. No new hardware, no integration.

The role
You will build our merchant network in Vietnam from the ground up. Go to the places where tourists spend money — cafes in Hoi An, hotels in Da Nang, restaurants in Saigon — and convince them that QR payments are better than card terminals.
You bring the materials, explain the value (zero fees vs 2-3% card fees), onboard their staff, and make sure the partnership sticks. Then move to the next one.
You own the number. Pipeline, conversion, retention — all yours.
What you'll do
- -Identify and sign restaurants, cafes, hotels, and other venues that serve foreign tourists.
- -Visit venues in person. Pitch the partnership. Close on the spot.
- -Deliver branded materials (table tents, flyers, stickers).
- -Build and manage a pipeline across multiple cities.
- -Track partner performance. Double down on what works.
- -Feed insights back to the product team — what merchants say, what they need, what breaks.
- -Hire and lead a small field team as we scale.
You
- -You have done SMB acquisition before. Door-to-door, field sales, merchant onboarding — whatever it was called. You closed deals in person, not from a laptop.
- -You are in Vietnam or willing to relocate immediately.
- -You speak English & Vietnamese fluently.
- -You don't need to be managed. You need a goal and the freedom to hit it.
- -You are comfortable with ambiguity. First hire energy.
- -Fintech or payments experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Compensation
- -Competitive base + aggressive performance bonus tied to merchant sign-ups and activity.
- -Full autonomy over your region and process.
